You shouldn’t have pleaded guilty – Aisha Yesufu tackles Bobrisky

AGS NEWS – Social activist Aisha Yesufu has criticized popular crossdresser Bobrisky for pleading guilty to charges of naira mutilation.

Following the verdict handed down by Justice Abimbola Awogboro, which sentenced Bobrisky to six months in custody without the option of a fine, the controversial celebrity has been in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) since his arrest last week.

Bobrisky had previously pleaded guilty to a four-count charge of naira abuse brought against him by the EFCC on April 5.

Aisha Yesufu questioned the advice given to Bobrisky regarding his plea, arguing that spraying money does not equate to mutilating money.

She raised concerns about selective prosecution and highlighted the disparity between the treatment of individuals like Bobrisky and politicians who distribute money during events.

In her write-up, Yesufu criticized the comparison between money spraying and actual mutilation of currency, questioning whether Bobrisky had physically damaged the naira notes.
