Police arrest suspect with fake $100,000 bills in Abuja raid

AGS NEWS – The Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre announced the arrest of Muhammed Zenabdin for criminal conspiracy and possession of suspected counterfeit currency in Abuja.

According to ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the suspect was apprehended during a raid on a cybercrime hideout in Garki II, FCT.

While other members of the gang managed to escape, Zenabdin was successfully captured.

The raid uncovered evidence including $100,000 in suspected counterfeit bills, counterfeit detection equipment, international passports, mobile phones, and a luxury vehicle.

Zenabdin confessed to the allegations and provided information to aid in apprehending other gang members.

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, commended the NCCC Director, CP Uche Ifeanyi Henry, and his team for their efforts and warned cybercriminals to halt their activities or face legal consequences. Zenabdin is set to face arraignment after the investigation concludes.
