AGS NEWS – The Kano State High Court has set April 17, 2024, as the date for the arraignment of former governor Abdullahi Ganduje, along with his wife, son, and five others, on charges related to alleged bribery.
They face eight counts, including accusations of accepting a $413,000 bribe and misappropriation of funds totaling N1.38 billion.

This comes after a previous ruling by the Federal High Court in Kano stating that the Kano Public Compliant and Anti-Corruption Commission lacked jurisdiction to investigate Ganduje over a purported $5 million bribery video.
Governor Abba Yusuf urged the EFCC to disclose the outcome of its probe into the video, emphasizing that Ganduje should focus on preparing for his trial instead of criticizing the current administration.
