The construction of the 700km Lagos-Calabar coastal highway was recently announced by the Federal Government.

However, Atiku questioned the decision to award the contract to Gilbert Chagoury’s Hitech without competitive bidding.

He also raised concerns about the significant funding allocated for the initial phase of the project, starting from Eko Atlantic and ending at the Lekki Deep Sea Port.

In response, Atiku presented several questions to the Tinubu administration, including inquiries about the total project cost, the funding mechanism, and the lack of competitive bidding.

He urged the administration to address these concerns in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act, rather than resorting to insults in their responses.
