The attack occurred amidst reports from security expert Zagazola Makama, who took to X (formerly Twitter), alerting that bandits raided Gusau town during midnight prayers at a mosque.
However, Abubakar clarified that the bandits targeted Nagoma, resulting in a fatal confrontation when he resisted.
His wife and neighbour were subsequently kidnapped. While reassuring the public of efforts to apprehend the culprits and rescue the victims, Abubakar emphasized ongoing investigations into the matter.
