AGS NEWS – Ondo State Police Command has apprehended Dolapo Babalola, aged 39, for allegedly murdering his childhood friend, Evangelist Opeyemi Oyelakin, aged 34, in Ondo town.
Babalola confessed to the crime, revealing that he and his accomplice, Sikiru Mutiu, deceived the victim to visit a piece of land in Oke-Igbo, where they ambushed and fatally assaulted him.

They then disposed of the victim’s motorcycle, which they had stolen, selling it for N130,000 in Ibadan. The deceased’s family reported him missing, prompting police intervention.

Babalola expressed remorse, attributing the act to the influence of evil forces.

Police Commissioner Abayomi Oladipo disclosed plans to apprehend other members of the syndicate and urged caution among motorcyclists and residents, emphasizing the importance of reporting suspicious activities promptly.
