AGS NEWS – In a predawn operation, plainclothes operatives from the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) swiftly arrested a robbery suspect identified as Akinjobi Wahab, aged 19, as he attempted to steal their motorcycle.

The arrest, which took place around 4 am on Acme Road, Agidingbi, Ikeja, saw Wahab wielding a machete. He was accompanied by four others who managed to flee the scene.

This incident follows the implementation of regular foot and vehicular patrols in the area by RRS Commander, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, in response to recurring reports of robbery activities in the early hours around Agidingbi, Ikeja.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the command, confirmed the arrest, stating that Wahab will face legal proceedings once investigations are concluded.
