AGS NEWS – Despite reigning as the British monarch for a mere 18 months since his ascension on May 6, 2023, preparations are underway for the eventual passing of King Charles III, who is currently battling pancreatic cancer.
Operation London Bridge, activated upon Queen Elizabeth II’s death to ensure a smooth transition of power to her son, then-Prince Charles, now sees a parallel in “Operation Menai Bridge” for the final arrangements of King Charles.

According to royal insiders speaking to In Touch, the urgency surrounding the plans is notable, with some courtiers expressing concerns that Charles’ cancer may be more severe than officially acknowledged.
“Operation Menai Bridge” entails customary protocols. Upon his passing, King Charles’ body will be transported from Buckingham Palace’s throne room to Westminster Hall for lying in state.
His official funeral is scheduled to take place nine days later, with the likelihood of his burial in the royal vault at Windsor Castle.
Recent revelations suggest that King Charles’ battle with pancreatic cancer is more dire than initially portrayed.
An unnamed high-ranking royal insider disclosed to In Touch that the monarch has been given a prognosis of only two years to live, attributing his frailty and declining health to the relentless progression of the disease.
The insider further revealed dissatisfaction within the royal circle, with Queen Camilla reportedly dismayed by Charles’ deteriorating health and weakened status, offering little solace amidst his battle.
