AGS NEWS – Eniola Ajao, Nollywood actress and filmmaker, has responded to criticism surrounding the controversial ‘Best Dressed Female’ award presented to Bobrisky at the premiere of her latest movie, ‘Ajakaju.’
The event, which made headlines after Bobrisky received the award along with a N1 million cheque, sparked heated debate and garnered widespread attention across social media platforms.
In an interview with Arise TV, Ajao expressed her dismay over Bobrisky’s recognition, labeling it as a “charade” despite her explanations.

However, despite her efforts to clarify the situation, backlash against her movie premiere persisted on various social media platforms.
In an attempt to address the controversy and salvage her movie’s reputation, Ajao took to her Instagram page to release a video message.
In the video, she vehemently denied personally awarding Bobrisky and urged Nigerians to support her movie by patronizing cinemas to watch it. She emphasized the financial strain she would face if the movie faced cancellation due to the ongoing controversy.
Ajao explained that the decision to involve Bobrisky in the promotional activities surrounding the movie was solely for marketing purposes.

She appealed to the public to separate the movie’s quality from the controversy surrounding Bobrisky’s award, highlighting the positive reviews the film received from industry insiders.
