AGS NEWS – A tragic incident occurred in Magama-Gumau, Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State on Tuesday, March 26, resulting in the death of a 25-year-old man named Khalid during a confrontation with his friend.

Eyewitnesses reported a heated argument among a group of young men, including Khalid, as they were heading towards a JIBWIS Mosque in the town to end their Ramadan fast.

The argument escalated into a fight, catching Khalid off guard when his friend allegedly stabbed him in the neck with a sharp object.

Despite efforts by passersby to rush Khalid to a nearby private hospital, he succumbed to his injuries before receiving medical attention.

Bauchi State Police Command spokesperson, SP Ahmed Wakili, confirmed the incident, stating that Khalid Ibrahim and Usman Ibrahim, aged 25 and 18 respectively, were involved in a fight resulting in Khalid’s fatal injury.

Upon receiving the report, the police swiftly responded, but Khalid was pronounced dead upon arrival at General Hospital, Toro. His body was subsequently released to his family for Islamic burial rites.
