AGS NEWS – Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai paid a visit to former military Head of State Yakubu Gowon at his residence in Abuja on Tuesday.
This meeting follows El-Rufai’s recent engagements, including a second meeting with leaders of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), sparking speculation about his potential departure from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

During his visit to Senator Abubakar Gada’s residence in Abuja, El-Rufai was accompanied by SDP chairman Shehu Musa Gabam and other party figures.
Among those reported to be present were Senator Teslim Folarin, APC gubernatorial candidate for Oyo State in the 2023 general elections, and Senator Nazif Suleiman, a prominent figure of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Bauchi State.

This meeting followed El-Rufai’s hosting of a Ramadan iftar at his Abuja residence, attended by figures such as National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Kashim Ibrahim-Imam, and Shehu Musa Gabam.
El-Rufai visited Gabam at the SDP secretariat, further indicating his involvement with the party.
