AGS NEWS – Gunmen attacked a rock concert in a Moscow suburb on Friday, resulting in at least 40 fatalities and 100 injuries, along with a fire breaking out in the venue.
The assailants, dressed in camouflage uniforms, entered the building, initiated gunfire, and reportedly threw a grenade or incendiary device.

The incident occurred at the Crocus City concert hall in Krasnogorsk, a suburb north of the Russian capital, which has hosted numerous international artists.
According to the FSB security service, the attack is being treated as a terrorist act. President Vladimir Putin is closely monitoring the situation, and a terrorist investigation has been launched.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin described the incident as a “terrible tragedy” and canceled all public events in the city for the weekend.
Reports indicate that between two and five individuals, armed with automatic weapons, carried out the attack.
Witnesses described scenes of chaos and panic, with attendees hiding or attempting to escape the gunfire.
The emergency services ministry reported that approximately one-third of the complex was on fire, and about 100 people managed to escape through the theater basement.

While there is no immediate evidence linking the attack to the conflict in Ukraine, previous warnings had been issued about potential extremist activities targeting large gatherings in Moscow.
Security forces, including special police units, have been deployed to the scene, and all members of the rock band performing at the concert were safely evacuated.
