AGS NEWS – Ms. Ahunna Eziakonwa-Onochie, Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and UNDP Assistant Administrator, has commended Governor Alex Otti of Abia State for his rapid progress in office.
Speaking during a meeting at the 68th Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women in New York, Eziakonwa-Onochie expressed her delight at the significant strides made by Governor Otti in a short time.

In a private discussion with the governor’s wife and her team, Eziakonwa-Onochie reiterated her satisfaction with the state’s development under Otti’s leadership, citing positive feedback from a UNDP meeting in Rwanda last year attended by the governor himself.
Eziakonwa-Onochie pledged UNDP’s support for sustainable growth initiatives in Abia, particularly in advancing technology for shoe manufacturing in Aba.
She emphasized the importance of exporting locally-made products to enhance their global recognition.
