Taraba monarch rescued from kidnappers

AGS NEWS – Local hunters in Taraba State successfully rescued Galadima Danladi Tau, the district head of Lau town in Ardo-Kola local government area, from the clutches of kidnappers.

According to reports gathered by AGS NEWS, the kidnappers stormed the palace of the district head on Saturday night, seizing the traditional ruler.

Swiftly responding to the distress call, local hunters mobilized and tracked down the kidnappers to their hideout.

A confrontation ensued, during which the hunters managed to overpower the criminals, securing the safe release of Galadima Danladi Tau. However, the traditional ruler sustained injuries during the ordeal.

Following the rescue, the kidnappers launched a retaliatory attack on the town, but the hunters repelled the assault in a fierce encounter that lasted for several hours.

Lau and neighboring villages have long been plagued by banditry, but the successful defense against the attackers was credited to the collaborative efforts of hunters and vigilantes who have effectively cleared the area of bandits.

To bolster security measures, soldiers have been deployed to the region to reinforce safety and stability.

Confirming the incident, the police spokesman in Taraba State, Usman Abdullahi, assured that normalcy has been restored to the area.
