AGS NEWS – Troops of the Nigerian Army, along with personnel from the Nigerian Customs Service, have discovered 27 sacks believed to contain illicit drugs in the Badagry area of Lagos state.
The Nigerian Army made this revelation in an official statement signed by Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, Lt. Col. Olalekan Olabisi Ayeni, and released on Tuesday, March 5, via their official communication channels.

The statement detailed the operation, explaining that troops, acting on credible intelligence, conducted a covert mission at Ajido in Badagry, Lagos state, where they successfully uncovered the suspected drugs concealed in 27 sacks.
However, the suspects managed to escape arrest by jumping into the river upon noticing the presence of the troops.
