The summons was issued by Ibrahim Hamisu, Chairman of the House Committee on Privatisation and Commercialisation, during a meeting with seaport terminal operators in Abuja.

Hamisu expressed disappointment over the absence of top government officials to clarify their involvement in the terminal concessions.

The committee members criticized the opaque handling of the concession process, which allowed five companies to operate without renewal for five years, resulting in significant revenue loss for the Federal Government.

Hamisu emphasized the ministers’ obligation to appear before the committee on March 12 and urged stakeholders to provide all relevant documents by Friday.

He stated that stakeholders were invited to address the prolonged renewal process and attract investments into critical port infrastructure.
