AGS NEWS – President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja following a two-day official trip to the State of Qatar.
His arrival at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport around 7 pm marks the conclusion of his 12th foreign trip since assuming office nine months ago, totaling 75 days abroad.
Tinubu was warmly welcomed by top government officials, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Abdullahi Ganduje, and the Director-General of the Department of State Services Yusuf Bichi, among others.

During his visit, President Tinubu toured Qatar’s National Museum on the first day, emphasizing the significance of accurately documenting a nation’s history, cultural evolution, and challenges.
He highlighted the importance of preserving cultural heritage and historical narratives.
On the second day, Tinubu participated in closed-door talks with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, leading to the signing of seven significant agreements between Nigeria and Qatar.
These agreements cover areas such as education, employment regulations, business cooperation, youth and sports, tourism, and combating illicit trade in narcotics.

The signing ceremony was attended by relevant officials from both countries, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Tuggar and officials from the Government of Qatar.
