AGS NEWS – Airtel Africa Plc has completed the acquisition of 491,861 units of its ordinary shares priced at USD 0.50 each on the London Stock Exchange through Citigroup Global Markets Limited.
The purchase was made in line with the authority granted by the company’s shareholders as part of its share buy-back program.
The transaction details were disclosed on March 1, 2024. The lowest price per share paid during the acquisition was GBp 96.10, while the highest price paid per share stood at GBp 97.65.

The volume-weighted average price paid per share was recorded at GBp 97.14.
In accordance with the buy-back program, Airtel Africa Plc has announced that the purchased ordinary shares will be canceled.
Since the initiation of the share buy-back program on March 1, 2024, the company has acquired a total of 491,861 ordinary shares at an average price of GBp 97.14 per share.
