AGS NEWS – The incident occurred in the Dogarawa area of Zaria, where frustrated youths, accusing food manufacturers like the BUA company of unjustified price increases, blocked a truck transporting foodstuffs.

Taking advantage of the situation, many residents seized the opportunity to loot cartons of noodles from the truck.

Despite attempts to reach out to the Kaduna State Police Spokesman, Mohammad Jalagie, for comment, there was no response to calls and text messages.

This incident comes in the wake of growing discontent among citizens over rising food prices and economic hardships.

Earlier reports revealed inmates protesting a proposed reduction in food rations at the Correctional Centre in Jos, Plateau State, underscoring broader concerns about food security and affordability in the country.
