Indiana mother of two, 41, dies mid-flight on American airlines

AGS NEWS – An American woman tragically passed away after falling suddenly ill during an American Airlines flight from the Dominican Republic.

The 41-year-old, identified online only as a mother of two from Indiana, was onboard American Airlines Flight 2790 from Punta Cana to Charlotte, North Carolina, when the incident occurred, according to the Royal Turks and Caicos Island Police Force.

Flight crew members attempted to revive the woman while the plane was diverted to Providenciales International Airport in the Turks and Caicos for further medical assistance, the police reported.

Authorities received notification of the emergency landing at 6:12 p.m. and promptly dispatched a medical team.

Despite efforts to save her, the woman was pronounced dead upon arrival at a local hospital. A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death, as announced by the police.

While the passenger’s identity has not been officially disclosed, Fox 59 reported that she hailed from central Indiana.

A woman identified as her sister-in-law confirmed the news on Facebook, expressing shock and heartbreak over the tragic incident.

Stephanie Quinn, the sister-in-law, described the deceased as a loving mother of two and the only daughter among five siblings.

Quinn urged authorities to take care of her sister-in-law’s remains as she makes her final journey home.
