AGS NEWS – The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is currently in negotiations with Jose Peseiro regarding a potential new contract.

Reports suggest that the NFF has proposed to maintain the same monthly salary of €50,000 that the Portuguese coach was earning before leading the Super Eagles to the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Peseiro had previously been earning $70,000 per month but agreed to a pay cut to $50,000 in order to coach the Super Eagles during the tournament.

His previous contract expired at the conclusion of the AFCON 2023 finals.

Since the tournament’s conclusion, the 63-year-old coach has been linked with various coaching positions, with reports indicating strong interest from the Algeria Football Federation.

Peseiro recently disclosed that he has received offers from at least seven different national teams and clubs and will make a decision regarding his future in the coming days.
