AGS NEWS – The Kwara State Fire Service successfully retrieved the body of a 49-year-old man and rescued a 17-year-old boy from a domestic well in Offa town
The man, identified as Fasasi Afeez, and his son Kaleed Afeez from Gaa Jangbo, Igbonna Road Offa, fell into the well located in their residence in Offa local government area of Kwara State.
While Fasasi Afeez was unfortunately found deceased, his son Kaleed Afeez was rescued alive.

The incident occurred around 4:11 pm, and the fire brigade was alerted by a resident named Alhaji Taiye Gbadamosi through a phone call.
AGS NEWS reports suggest that the teenage boy slipped and fell into the well while fetching water, prompting his father to attempt a rescue. Tragically, during the rescue attempt, Fasasi Afeez also fell into the well.
Director of the Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, urged the public to exercise caution in daily activities and avoid sending young children to fetch water from domestic wells.
