My died died because we couldn’t pay for N70,000 hospital bed space – Odumodu

AGS NEWS – Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck, formerly known as Tochukwu Ojogwu, has shared his past struggles as an artist and the tragic loss of his father due to financial constraints.

Odumodublvck recounted how his family, unable to afford a hospital bed space costing N70,000, had to take his father home, where he eventually passed away.

This experience, he says, has shaped his belief that no artist directly facilitated his rise in the music industry.

In a post on his social media platform on Wednesday, Odumodublvck expressed frustration with the notion of artists “paving the way” for others, emphasizing the role of God and personal inspiration instead.

He also criticized attempts by others to claim credit for his success, asserting that no one has the power to dictate another artist’s journey.

His comments follow recent statements by veteran singer Eedris Abdulkareem, who asserted in a podcast interview that he paved the way for current Nigerian artists like Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido.
