AGS NEWS – Anthony Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, affirms that the former heavyweight champion is in excellent condition ahead of his upcoming bout with Francis Ngannou.

Scheduled for March 8th in Saudi Arabia, the fight between Joshua and Ngannou will determine the challenger for the undisputed heavyweight title, which will be contested between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk in May.

After losing his belts to Usyk, Joshua aims to reclaim his position in the heavyweight division.

His recent victories over Jermaine Franklin, Robert Hellenius, and Otto Wallin have been impressive, setting the stage for a potential showdown with the winner of Fury vs. Usyk later in 2024.

However, Ngannou, a former MMA star, demonstrated his boxing prowess by giving Fury a tough challenge in his boxing debut last October, signaling that he shouldn’t be underestimated.

When asked about Joshua’s readiness for the fight, Hearn expressed confidence, stating, “He looks great.

It’s a dangerous fight, but I just think AJ’s looking spectacular and I think he’s gonna do a job on Ngannou on March 8th.”
