AGS NEWS – Nigerian singer Joeboy has opened up about the challenges he faced during his university days, revealing that working briefly at a sachet water factory during a strike boosted his determination to pursue a successful career in music.
In a recent episode of the Afrobeats Intelligence Podcast, Joeboy recounted his struggles to find employment during a university strike, spending three months searching for a job in Lagos without success.
He even worked as a marketer in a pure water factory, reflecting on his fears of not securing a lucrative job after graduation.

These experiences served as a turning point for Joeboy, motivating him to pursue a career in music with even greater determination.
Despite facing skepticism, including warnings against signing him from some quarters, Joeboy’s talent eventually led to his signing with Empawa, marking the beginning of his meteoric rise in the music industry.
AGS NEWS reports that Joeboy described his journey as nothing short of a miracle, emphasizing that even his parents didn’t anticipate his career as a musician.
