AGS NEWS – The Federal Government and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) criticized state governors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who demanded President Bola Tinubu’s resignation amidst economic challenges and currency devaluation.
The ruling party also rebuked the PDP governors for likening Nigeria under APC leadership to Venezuela, a country grappling with corruption, food and medicine shortages, business shutdowns, and high unemployment.

AGS NEWS reports that, last week, PDP governors, led by Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, expressed concerns that Nigeria was on the verge of resembling Venezuela under Tinubu’s leadership.
In response, Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, condemned the PDP governors, accusing them of attempting to divert attention from President Tinubu’s efforts to address economic hardships.
Idris emphasized the administration’s commitment to revamping the economy through infrastructure projects, social welfare programs, and security initiatives.

The APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, defended President Tinubu against calls for resignation, urging constructive engagement from governors rather than mockery.
Morka criticized the PDP governors for failing to justify federal allocations to their states and accused them of hypocrisy.
