The Sokoto State House of Assembly has welcomed its two newest members, Alhaji Abubakar Magaji representing PDP for Bodinga North and Alhaji Bashir Dahiru representing APC for Tambuwal West.

Their induction follows the rerun election held on February 3rd in the respective constituencies.

Administering the oath of office to the newly elected members during the plenary session in Sokoto on Tuesday, Speaker Alhaji Tukur Bala facilitated their official entry into the Assembly.

In a procedural move, Alhaji Bala requested the suspension of Order 15, Rule 12, Sub-rule 1 of the House Standing Orders 2019, to facilitate the new members’ formal entry into the chamber.

Expressing their appreciation shortly after taking their oath, the newly inducted lawmakers extended gratitude to their constituents for entrusting them with the responsibility of representation.
