A tragic scene unfolded in a Bay Area home earlier this week as a man fatally shot his wife and twin sons before ending his own life in a devastating murder-suicide.
The victims were identified as Anand Sujith Henry, 37, and Alice Benziger, 38, who had purchased the San Mateo residence in 2020.
AGS NEWS reports that their four-year-old twin sons, Noah and Neithan, were found lifeless on a couch inside one of the home’s bedrooms.
Henry, a former software engineering manager at Meta and Google, had filed for divorce in 2016, though the couple apparently reconciled.

After leaving his role at Meta, he founded his own AI company called Logits. Benziger worked as a data science manager at Zillow.
Initial reports of the tragedy suggested gas poisoning as the cause, but the discovery of gunshot wounds alongside a 9mm pistol and loaded magazine confirmed a different, more horrifying reality.
The San Mateo Police Department, investigating the incident as a murder-suicide, emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Officers responded to a concern about the family’s well-being and found the grisly scene upon entry.
While authorities continue to piece together the events leading up to the tragedy, they maintain that the incident appears to be isolated, with no external danger to the community.
