Jude Oguejiofor, the 2023 House of Representatives candidate from Anambra State, has been tragically killed by unknown gunmen.
Oguejiofor, a lawyer hailing from Orsumoghu in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra, resided in Nnewi North Local Government Area.
He contested for the Ihiala Federal Constituency House of Representatives seat in the 2023 general elections under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Sources revealed that Oguejiofor was abducted along with his brother by gunmen around 1 am some days ago while visiting their aged parents in the Orsumoghu Community.

Although his brother, a medical doctor residing overseas, was later released unharmed, Oguejiofor was not as fortunate.
According to a family source, the gunmen accused Oguejiofor of writing petitions against them and their activities in the community, alleging that he had been submitting complaints to the Anambra State Government.
While there has been no official reaction from the Anambra State Police command at the time of reporting, a police officer who spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed the incident.
