A 31-year-old mother named Amina has reportedly ended her life and the lives of her two children, a 10-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter.

The bodies were discovered in their rented room, where Amina allegedly fed her children yoghurt laced with rat poison before consuming the toxic substance herself.

Amina left behind two suicide notes, one addressed to her husband, blaming him for their deaths, and the other to her family, expressing apologies for her actions and citing exhaustion from life’s struggles and conflicts with her spouse as the reasons.

Her final WhatsApp status update simply read, “I love you all.”

Robert Majekwana, the deceased’s brother-in-law, recounted finding an open bottle of juice, containers of yoghurt, and rat poison at the scene.

Amina’s brother had contacted Robert’s wife, Amina’s sister, after not hearing from them for a while.

Upon arriving at their rented room in Ivory Park’s Tokyo section near Tembisa, Robert discovered the lifeless bodies of Amina and her two children on the floor, with no signs of life.

Amina’s notes conveyed blame to her ex-husband for their tragic fate, stating, “My death and the death of my two children are in your hands.

You are responsible…” To her family, she expressed, “I am sorry. I had to do this. But I am tired of life.”
