The Nasarawa State Command has apprehended Muhammed Haladu, a man posing as a soldier in the Awe Local Government Area.

Two soldiers discovered him in full military attire and handed him over to the police.

Despite claiming to be part of the 231 Battalion in Biu, Borno State, investigations revealed his deception.

Haladu, who had attempted to join the military, resorted to purchasing a military uniform for fraudulent activities, specifically duping individuals seeking employment in the Nigerian Army.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, praised the officers involved and urged them to continue combating crime in the state.
