Second Trump presidency could threaten journalists and LGBTQ+ community – Whoopi Goldberg

Actress and TV host Whoopi Goldberg issued a warning to her co-hosts and the audience on “The View,” stating that not voting for US President Joe Biden could effectively be a vote for former President Donald Trump.

She expressed concerns about Trump’s potential actions, describing them as rounding up journalists and gay people, saying, “I’m going to take all the journalists, I’m going to take all the gay folks, and I’ll move you all around and disappear you.”

The discussion on the show also touched on the divide among young Democratic voters, particularly regarding the Israel-Hamas war.

Sunny Hostin mentioned the split in opinions and how some voters who supported Biden in 2020 over climate change might reconsider due to their view of the Gaza conflict as an environmental justice issue.

Goldberg cautioned against media influence and emphasized that voters should make decisions based on their own perspectives and concerns.

She encouraged voters to be mindful of their priorities and not solely rely on media narratives.

She argued that not supporting Biden’s re-election could contribute to what she described as “right-wing tyranny,” urging viewers to consider the consequences of their choices.
