Marketers set to discuss fuel supply with Dangote

Oil marketers are gearing up to hold discussions with the management of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery to facilitate the efficient supply and distribution of refined petroleum products from the $20 billion facility.

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria plans to engage refinery officials following the refinery’s intention to commence production of refined products this month.

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery, with a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, is set to produce Automotive Gas Oil and JetA1 in January 2024, with petrol production delayed due to the phased supply of crude oil.

Marketers anticipate collaborating with the refinery to ensure a steady supply of refined products in Nigeria, expressing positive expectations for product availability but cautioning that price reductions might be minimal unless there are changes in the crude supply pricing.
