In a statement issued on Wednesday, Adeniji commended Tinubu for his empathy and compassion towards Nigerian children, describing the 2024 budget as a testament to the President’s dedication to the well-being and upliftment of the Nigerian people.

She expressed gratitude for the visionary decision to reintroduce the National Home Grown School Feeding Programme, emphasizing its positive impact on removing children from the streets and improving enrollment.

Adeniji assured Tinubu and Nigerians that the allocated funds would be used judiciously to realize the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope agenda.

She highlighted the importance placed on the initiative by the substantial allocation of funds in the 2024 budget.

During the signing ceremony, Tinubu stressed the significance of the N100 billion provision for school feeding, anticipating that it would encourage school enrollment and address malnutrition among school children.

He announced plans to collaborate with local governments at sub-national levels for the implementation of an all-inclusive programme.

The “Renewed Hope” budget, signed into law on January 1, is centered on reducing recurrent expenditure while increasing capital expenditure.
