The Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, has outlined the government’s focus on completing ongoing projects across the state in the coming year.
Speaking exclusively to reporters in a telephone interview on Sunday, Omotoso emphasized that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s “ambitious N2.2tn budget” would be utilized judiciously for infrastructure development, with a special focus on hospitals and the new Lekki airport.

Omotoso mentioned the completion of the Mercy Seat Hospital, which is set to become the largest pediatric hospital in Africa upon its completion.
The Mental Health Centre in Ketu Ejinrin, a 500-bed hospital with a focus on mental health, will also be finalized.
The Commissioner emphasized the importance of mental health and the government’s commitment to addressing it.
Other projects in the spotlight include the completion of the Ojo General Hospital, the first in decades, and the new airport under construction in the Lekki area.

Omotoso expressed confidence in the administration’s efforts to transform Lagos into a mega city, promising “exciting times, exciting moments, and great projects” that would provide employment and enhance the comfort of Lagosians in the new year.
