Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, expressed his condolences by visiting the family of the late former Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu.

Governor Sanwo-Olu made this visit to the residence of the deceased Ondo governor in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, on Friday.

The news of Governor Sanwo-Olu’s condolence visit was shared by Jubril Gawat, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on New Media, through a tweet on X (formerly Twitter).

Gawat posted photos of the visit, stating, “Governor of Lagos State, Mr #jidesanwoolu today paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN in Ibadan.”

Governor Sanwo-Olu, in the shared images, expressed his sympathies, saying, “I paid a visit to the family of late Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN in Ibadan today.

My heartfelt condolences go to his widow, children, and all who knew and loved him. May his soul rest in peace.”

Rotimi Akeredolu, aged 67, had passed away on Wednesday morning while receiving treatment for prostate cancer in Germany.
