Expressing awareness of the reports suggesting that the Niger State Government, through the Liquor and Licensing Board, had prohibited alcohol sales in nine local government areas, including Suleja, Governor Bago emphasized that he has been engaged in overseeing various people-centric projects across the state and has not issued any such directive.
The statement clarified that the governor has yet to constitute the Liquor and Licensing Board, and therefore, no directive of this nature could have originated from a board that has not been formed.
