The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has issued a weather outlook predicting moderate dust haze across the country from Wednesday to Friday.
According to NiMet’s release on Tuesday, the forecast indicates horizontal visibility of 2km to 5km and localized visibility of less than or equal to 1,000 meters over the northern region.

The forecast states, “Moderate dust haze with horizontal visibility of 2km to 5km is expected over the North Central region and the inland cities of the South during the forecast period, while a hazy atmosphere is envisaged over the coastal cities throughout the forecast period.”
On Thursday, NiMet anticipates moderate dust haze with horizontal visibility of 2km to 5km over the North, North Central, and inland cities of the South.
A hazy atmosphere is expected over the coastal belt of the country throughout the forecast period.
For Friday, NiMet predicts moderate dust haze with horizontal visibility of 2km to 5km over the North, North-central, and inland areas of the South throughout the forecast period.
Coastal cities are expected to experience a hazy atmosphere, and the public is advised to take necessary precautions as dust particles will be present in the air.
