Grammy-nominated artist Seun Kuti recently shared in an interview with actress Iyabo Ojo that he experienced stigmatization during his upbringing due to being the son of the late Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti.

Kuti revealed that this affected his relationships, even preventing him from visiting his girlfriend’s father’s house.

He expressed frustration over the unwarranted stigma, emphasizing that his father hadn’t done anything to deserve it.

Kuti also commented on the irony of society’s acceptance of individuals with questionable actions while stigmatizing him for his father’s legacy.
