Tinubu shakes up aviation sector: Terminates five agency heads, suspends NCAA boss

President Bola Tinubu has initiated a comprehensive shake-up in the aviation sector, announcing the removal of top officials and the appointment of new heads for key agencies.

The move, aimed at enhancing standards and transparency, involves the replacement of executives in various agencies, including the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), and the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET).

Captain Musa Nuhu, the Director-General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), has been suspended pending an unrestricted investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The restructuring also includes the appointment of acting and substantive heads for these agencies, reinforcing the President’s commitment to achieving world-class standards in Nigerian civil aviation.”
