Highlighting the significance of Rivers State in electoral terms, George emphasized the potential for the crisis to extend to other parts of the country.

He appealed to all parties involved, emphasizing the need for unity during a challenging period marked by economic difficulties, hunger, and public discontent.

Questioning the role of the PDP leadership in addressing the situation, George called for decisive action to defend and resolve the crisis.

The epicenter of the conflict has been the Rivers State Assembly, where a fallout between Governor Sim Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has divided the assembly.
