During his birthday celebration at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital, Senate President Godswill Akpabio playfully hinted that some senators and governors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) might switch to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The former governor of Akwa Ibom expressed optimism that there would be unity, saying, “very soon, we will all become one family.”

Akpabio mentioned Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom, Senator Aminu Tambuwal from Sokoto, and Senator Natacha Akpoti-Uduaghan as potential APC members in a satirical manner.

This comes amid calls from PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar for opposition parties to join forces against the APC’s alleged attempt to establish a one-party state.
