Burna Boy reveals why Nigerians hate him

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has offered insights into why he perceives himself as being “hated” within the music industry.

Taking to his social media handle on Saturday, Burna Boy stated that he is disliked by his “inferiors” due to the absence of “superiors” above him.

The controversial artist accompanied this statement with a photo of himself.

This isn’t the first time Burna Boy has addressed the issue of being disliked. The singer has consistently asserted that he faces animosity from Nigerians.

In one of the tracks, “Thank You,” from his recent album, I Told Them, Burna Boy implied that despite bringing pride to the country “every chance I get,” Nigerians fail to appreciate his significant musical contributions.

He lamented the spread of rumors, such as linking his mother to the late Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti’s dancers and speculating about his lack of a baby mama, attributing it to potential impotency, unlike many of his peers.
