Islamic cleric Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has asserted that the drone strike leading to the death of over 120 Muslim worshippers during the celebration of Maulud in Tudun Biri, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, was not a mistake.
During his weekly lecture at the Sultan Bello Mosque in Kaduna, Gumi emphasized the wrongfulness of targeting women, children, and the elderly in any war.

He questioned the claim that the first bomb dropped on the people was a mistake, pointing to the second bomb that targeted those evacuating the bodies, as reported by villagers.
Gumi attributed the exposure of some military atrocities in the forest to divine intervention, expressing frustration that his warnings about innocent villagers becoming victims of security bombardments went unheeded.
He urged for peaceful negotiations rather than resorting to war, emphasizing the devastating impact war has on everyone.
