Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has issued a warning against unlawful travels abroad.
The caution came during her visit to Nigerians in a shelter in Brampton, Canada.
Expressing sympathy for those in difficult situations, she urged prospective travelers without proper documentation to reconsider due to the increasingly challenging circumstances in many countries.

Dabiri-Erewa emphasized, “It is just not worth it, more often than not.”
In a statement by Abdur-Rahman Balogun, the spokesperson for NIDCOM, it was revealed that Vivian Eruka, working with those in shelters, mentioned that the Mayor of Brampton had committed to providing 800 more beds and shelters for asylum seekers.
