Troops from the Joint Task Force North West Operation HADARIN DAJI successfully rescued 31 kidnapped individuals in various areas of Sokoto State on Tuesday, as confirmed by the Nigerian Army in an official statement posted on Wednesday.
Led by Major General Godwin Mutkut, the General Officer Commanding 8 Division Nigerian Army, Sokoto, the troops have been actively conducting clearance operations against terrorist enclaves in the North West region.

During a recent operation in Tangaza LGA of Sokoto state, the troops cleared Alya Fulani village and Buani forest, resulting in the rescue of 30 kidnapped persons.
The terrorists abandoned their captives and fled as the troops destroyed their hideouts.
The troops proceeded to Goboro village, where one female kidnapped victim was rescued, compelling the terrorists and bandits to flee due to the superior firepower of the troops.”
