Among the confiscated items were 19 cartons of foreign insecticide and 26 bags of 50kg foreign parboiled rice.
Due to the flammability of the seized PMS, a significant portion of the product has already been disposed of in compliance with existing laws, with the generated proceeds remitted to the Federation Account.
To address the remaining fraction of the PMS on the ground, the Comptroller announced plans to auction it after the briefing.
While no smugglers were apprehended during the operation as they all fled, Abdullahi affirmed the commitment of the command to intensify efforts against smuggling, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding the nation’s economy.
