Tragic accident claims lives of two LAWMA officials

Two female officials from the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) lost their lives in a horrifying accident on Monday when they were struck by a Sienna vehicle in the Charlie Boy area heading towards Gbagada, Lagos State.

The tragic incident occurred while the victims were carrying out their duties.

An eyewitness, identified as Sodiq, recounted the ghastly scene, stating that the driver inexplicably drove into the area, fatally hitting the two LAWMA workers.

Sadly, both women lost their lives at the scene of the accident.

“The driver has been arrested and handed over to the police,” Sodiq reported.

The incident triggered a wave of frustration among onlookers, leading to the blockage of the Gbagada-Oshodi Expressway and causing a significant traffic jam.

Commuters and motorists found themselves stranded for hours due to the chaos.
