The air component of the joint military task force, Operation Hadin Kai, successfully neutralized a significant number of terrorists in the Ajigin and Banki Junction areas of Borno State.
Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the Director of Public Relations and Information at the Nigerian Air Force, reported that the victories were achieved through two major air strikes conducted on November 8 and November 11.

Gabkwet explained that these air strikes were part of the ongoing military efforts to eliminate the remnants of terrorists in the specified locations.
The terrorists, concealing four gun trucks under dense shrubbery, had planned an attack on troops’ positions around Damboa and Wajiroko.
During the operation, three of the hidden gun trucks were successfully struck, evident from the thick black smoke and flames observed.
The fourth gun truck attempted to flee the scene but was closely trailed for approximately 26 kilometers until it disappeared under a tree.

However, it was eventually struck and caught fire, rendering it immobile. The destruction of all four gun trucks, along with their occupants, significantly diminished the terrorists’ capability to launch attacks on both military forces and local communities in the area, as stated by Gabkwet.
