A 51-year-old woman has been apprehended by the Niger State Police Command for allegedly kidnapping a three-year-old girl and attempting to transport her to a buyer who had paid N530,000.
The suspect was captured while boarding a bus bound for Nnewi, Anambra State, with the child, whom she had stolen from her parents in the Tudun-Natsira area of Minna.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Wasiu, confirmed the arrest, stating that the girl has been reunited with her family.
The suspect confessed to abducting the child and revealed the buyer’s identity as Ejima, who allegedly contracted her for the transaction, involving the recovery of N230,000 from the suspect.
The case is currently under investigation at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Minna, with efforts ongoing to apprehend Ejima.
